Themes Covered In Kristopher Naeger Art

By Nita McKinney

This report on themes in Kristopher Naeger art will cover much more than that. It is designed to allow you to understand the artist and his inspiration a little better. Like thousands of adults in New Orleans, he moved swiftly out of that city to escape the wrath of Hurricane Katrina. However when he returned, much later than he had anticipated, all his possessions, including his brushes and other painting supplies, were gone.

In Cape Girardeau, he decided to host a show to raise funds for persons affected by the disaster. Thirty percent of what he earned went towards relief efforts via the Red Cross. Like other residents, he was unable to return to his home until he was given the go ahead by officials. Like many people who were living in the area at the time, he was displaced for a while. He used his artwork to help him move on after the disaster.

His artwork is attractive and colorful. The bold tones in each piece as sure to get attention form people who like high energy images or simply prefer this over more subdued shades. His abstract imagery provokes thought among patrons and over time, he has established a loyal following in Cape Girardeau.

He has been painting for more than fifteen years. This talented individual has shown his work at several locations across America, including the Schock Community Arts Center in Scott City, the Garden Gallery and others. He has participated in a number of juried shows and won awards for his paintings.

The artist has often selected alternative spaces. After he completed his Bachelor degree in fine arts, he focused even more on exhibiting but he has not always stuck to traditional galleries. The H&H building is an example of an unusual place where he has shown his work. His energetic pieces are usually well received and he sells a number of them each year.

Kristopher Naeger art is influenced to a great extent by the Caribbean. Artists in this tropical region use lots of bright, lively colors, reflective of the beautiful plants and fauna that surround them right through the year. He takes frequent trips to this region and his artistic style has been shaped by his experiences there. It shows in each of his abstract pieces, whether he is doing a painting of a flower, or an inanimate object.

The painter has also visited and exhibited in France and Costa Rica. He makes a habit of diversifying his paintings. He does abstractions of landscapes, mainly focusing on cities. He also enjoys examining the beauty and form of flowers. All of these pieces are complex and shown increasing variation over time.

While you may be interested in going to his exhibitions in person, this may not be possible. However Kristopher Naeger art can be enjoyed online. His website has pictures of collaborations with Costa Rican artist Ruben Dario Monsalve. He prefers doing paintings using acrylic on canvas, due to the fact that for him, that is the medium which seems to respond better when he wants to paint quickly.
