You should know that there are several environmental documentaries in various sources but then there are those that you have to know about. The main reason behind this is that they have rather interesting facts that most people never expected. They also inform you on how important the environment is so that you get to take better care of it. These are able to change what people think of the environment hence their popularity.

The Cove documentary tries to explain how the dolphins are being hunted by the Japanese and how they catch thousands. This is often refereed to the mass action killing of the fish and this film tries to convince people that the dolphins form an important part of the environment therefore should not be hunted in such large numbers. It also goes ahead to educate the public on the risks associated with mercury poisoning of dolphins.

Another documentary that you have to know about is Who Killed the Electric Car. This tried to study the birth band the sudden death of the cars that were to rely on electricity for power. These were seen as a good development since it relied on renewable energy. It also made a positive step towards sustainable development. However this was abandoned and it is not known why that happened.

The documentary Blue Gold: World Water Wars is another documentary that you should definitely hear about. This documentary tries to explain that just like nations fight for oil right now, there shall come a time when the fight will be about water. This resource is seen as a time bomb that is just waiting to explode in a matter of time. This will involve big corporation among other giants hence making the war a big one.

The Food Inc documentary goes ahead to try and explain that agribusiness produces food that is not suitable for human consumption. It views the production as harmful both to the employees who work there and the animals that are used. It also focuses on the production of meat and chicken and argues that the production is done unsustainable. The food that is supplied by the companies is cheap but also contaminated. This means that they pollute both people who eat and the environment.

The Gasland documentary on the other hand goes ahead to explain how natural gas companies are offering people money so that they lease their land in drilling for gas. It explains how this has affected the people staying around the areas of Colorado, Wyoming, Texas and Utah among many other places. The drilling has also affected the quality of water that people use hence affecting the environment.

It is therefore very important that people do whatever it takes so that they make their environment better. You should also understand that animals play a huge role I the environment therefore making each and everyone of them important in a special way.

In general all these environmental documentaries go ahead to explain how the actions of people affect the environment that people stay in. Another thing that you have to note is that not only the environment is affected but the health of people around the areas as well.
