There are a lot of wonderful books these days and most of them are in different genres ranging from from romance, horror and puzzles. Most people like to read mystery books because it is more engaging than any other books. You will think of the puzzle on how to get it solved if you are actually there.

This why more and more writers these days are more focus on writing mystery books. Writing these kind of books can be quite mind puzzling especially if you are new. You will be creating your own puzzle and solve it on your own as well. There are a lot of best mystery book series available nowadays that you cannot actually count them by your own hands.

Actually, there are certain factors that composes a nice book that is exciting and at the same time puzzling. The primary thing is the story line which can be very obvious. This does not apply to just the this kind of type of material but also to romance materials and some other things.

By doing so, it will create a surprise effect that most readers love. Also, the first part of the book should get the attention of the reader. It should be mysterious enough but not that very mysterious that it will make it too boring. You should mix a little bit of bright side and mysteries.

One surefire tip to keep the interest of the readers is to provide a puzzling question each and every time a chapter ends. By doing so, your audience will be left hanging and will certainly read out the next chapter. Although you should focus more on the puzzling side be more funny as well. Create some funny events that can light up the serious theme you are trying to create.

Aside from the overall story, you should consider the characters to be used as well. You should properly define them in the story but also in a surprising way. The character should have the appeal that he is cool and is highly motivated to solve the case.

Although you already have the plot set, always make sure that there are parts that makes the material interesting such as plot twists. These are part of the stories that reader should not be expecting to happen. This can be a little difficult but still always make sure that this element is in the story.

Not being obvious does not mean you do not give clues. You can still give clues but keep it in a minimum. A twist that are too out of this world or out of topic is not beneficial. This is why clues are somewhat important because this will make your twist make sense.

Finally, you should always aim for that element of surprise to come out. You can do your own techniques to ensure that the element is there. Just be sure that the book is still engaging because this is what most people love.
