The roots rock genre has its basis in blues and country that first emerged in the United States during the 1960s. New roots rock music has been considered a category that incorporates different elements of sound including Southern and related genres. A closer look at the origins of such musical styles reveals the transformation that it has undergone and the songs that are available today.

It was in 1966 that most rock artists emerged and began to note the significant changes that continued to transform and modify the sounds that have become a popular choice of music today. Such tunes have been recognized as producing a favorable beat that is the most popular range and meets with many individual preferences.
