What Christian Music Like 19 Lions Represents

By Donna Moore

Before parents accept that Gospel music is a good thing, they really might want to take a long look at what the Gospel is actually teaching young people. Banks like 19 Lions will tout themselves as some higher form of rock and roll music, and claim that anything else is promoting evil. The evil promoted may be the basis of Christianity as a whole.

The Roman Empire conducted a meeting called the Counsel of Nicaea where the basic concepts of Christianity were decided. The empire had grown too big to manage, and it was believed that they could use the one-God notion in order to unite all of the people of the empire. Once a small and obscure cult of rebels, Christianity became the reason for the expulsion of the Jews and the burning of the witches.

Modern Pagans and Wiccans refer to this as the Burning Times, and they still follow old laws of secrecy which date back to this imposition of Christian dogma. Most of the outer areas of the Roman republic had no understanding of Christianity when it began to spread on the tip of the Roman sword. Had they fully understood the implications, they probably would have fought it more ferociously.

The basic precept of Christianity involves convincing us all that we are born evil and sinful, and that redemption can only be achieved through submission to a worldly organization known as church. Without salvation, they claim, human souls cannot enter into a Kingdom of Heaven. It is through fear of an unpleasant afterlife that they are able to push their destructive ideology.

According to Christianity, without salvation one will endure physical torment in a lake of fire where their flesh will burn for all eternity. Of course, these ancient Catholic bishops claimed that no one could even speak to God or Jesus except through them, and for generations they prohibited the general population from being educated. It guaranteed power, money, and authority for religious institutions for all time.

The Roman empire lives on in the Holy Roman Catholic Church, and the human race continues to suffer as a result. To our modern day, religious differences are continued to be touted as a reason for war and slaughter of humans on an epic scale. The Vatican has total power over Catholicism, and even world leaders will still bow to its authority on many issues.

Our entire history has been hijacked by the Roman Catholic Church, and it is not known how many volumes of ancient texts they still hide in the catacombs. The Library of Alexandria is only one example of crusaders invading, burning, and stealing manuscripts that should have remained available to all people. Now we have this abridged history of our world that tells us nothing of who we really are or where we came from.

Even now Christianity holds its fingers tightly around the necks of human beings, and Gospel music is just another way to push this agenda. Rock and roll music should be about rebellion, sex, love, and the total joy of living. Human beings can never beat the church until we refuse to accept its precepts, and approach life with the joy and mystery that should be ours.
