Understanding Lobbying By Potomac Conservative Groups

By Patricia Adams

By definition, conservatism is the high regard of ancient moral teachings and doctrines. Usually, this is coupled up with a heightened loathe of modernism. In the political scene, Potomac Conservative Groups have the responsibility to advocate for private ownership of property and wealth, enterprise liberalization and other principles that builds the foundation of the societal structure. There are other radicals referred to Reactionaries, whose goal is to advocate for a status quo similar to that of the pre-civilization era.

There has not been a definite historical account of the exact place where first conservatives began their campaigns. Amid the confusion, some historical books state that, during the French Revolution in the eighteenth century, certain social quotas raised a cohesive reactive voice to speak on political and social issues. Also, an Anglican theologist was also believed to have projected the same occurrence in sixteenth century.

It is obvious that in any setting, change will take place. Parallel to the phenomenon, Classical conservatives have the same ideology, only that they prefer a transition that is triggered by an organic change, rather than a revolutionary one. Members of the movement argue that the transition should be gradually taking place in a manner that it does not destabilize the moral laws and human interrelations, which goes against the law of unintended consequences.

In Prince William County, there are movements that practice political conservativism, and are prominent lobbyists on matters that touch on politics. They usually encourage the adoption of capitalism, preservation of privately acquired wealth and property. Moreover, they hold certain social values that are repellant of minority groups like homosexuals, to whom their beliefs and perceptions are very punitive. On top of that, they hate criminals and are often discriminative in ethical issues.

Depending on the attitudes, values and belief that a person holds, he or she can belong to certain types of conservatism. For example; there is are cultural conservatives whose sole quest is to preserve the cultural framework of the society by protecting the American heritage, especially with regards to languages. Secondly, there is social conservative parties that can be termed to belong to smaller class of the cultural movement. These safeguard the moral doctrines of the society.

Apart from the above, there are also religious conservative parties, who mainly set out to retain and preserve certain religious practices. Preservation can be reinforced either through demonstrations, or by law. On the other hand, there are fiscal or economic conservativism. This is fiscal ideology on economic issues that seeks to preserve prudence in the allocation of public funds by the government. It argues against rampant cases of hefty government debts, only for the taxpayer to shoulder the burden.

Currently, lobbyists in United States are facing a great challenge in making their ideologies heard. And their impact on social and political issues in the near future will peter out. That is according to reports by various media houses. The report further indicates that, with lobbyists in its path of infrastructural development, conservative notions and ideologies will only be a drawback to this endeavor.

Nonetheless, lobby groups in Prince William County have devised means of countering such efforts to suppress their lobbyism. They have resorted to attract more Congressional votes to inhibit the implementation of such insensitive and dictatorial thoughts. They have now focused much attention at grassroots and media houses to oppose certain bills.
