Get enough sleep the night before the day of the competition. This will give your body and muscles enough rest. It will also ensure that you wake up energetic and ready for the competition. Pack all that you will use in the competition before you get to bed. Wake up early and be at the competition ground early enough.

Talking of arriving on the competition ground early, it is better to be there three to four hours before the start of the competition. This will give you time to put yourself together and to organize yourself. Avoid changing what you have practiced based on what you see others do. Be original and remain focused.
