The Talents Of A Strolling Magician Orlando

By Betty Wood

When it comes to looking for talent for a birthday party, company party, wedding or other event, there are a number of choices. Whether looking to hire comedians, magicians or musicians, all are available in most areas. When looking to hire a performer in Florida, hiring a strolling magician Orlando is often a popular choice.

For, children of all ages tend to love magic whether close up, illusion or slight of hand. In most cases, those whom perform at these events provide a combination of different types of magic. In addition, as the magician often involves those in attendance in a number of tricks, it can be quite entertaining for all in attendance.

While Austin has recently allowed busking without permits, there were a number of performers and vendors in the 1990s whom received tickets for performing or vending without a license. In that case, the individuals included fire dancers, food vendors, flower girls, jewelry makers, jugglers, musicians, painters, rose sellers and muralists. While the fines were between $50 and $200, most of these individuals rarely made enough to cover the cost of housing, if not homeless.

While a number of vibrant entertainment districts still exist, Orlando offers a number of different areas in which individuals can set up performances or vending booths. As such, it is a favorite among local and traveling buskers alike. It should be noted that out of town performers and vendors must also acquire a permit to avoid ticketing in the Orlando area.

Still, there are some magicians whom are willing to do whatever it takes to entertain visitors in these areas. With Orlando having a number of other entertainment options, there are often people strolling the entertainment district day and night. As such, magicians working in this area can often acquire more tips than others by performing on a daily basis in different areas of the city. Whether in the Orlando entertainment district, at Universal Studios Street Walk or a local venue, the area has a lot to offer when it comes to magic.

For individuals whom love magic and can not make it to a public or private performance, there are a number of magicians whom now host videos on YouTube. For example, there are videos by Matt Franco, Jeff McBride, Chris Angel and other well known magicians. Whether wanting to watch for fun, or to learn, YouTube and other video sharing sites have a lot to offer.

Older teens and young adults wanting to learn the art of magic may want to check out the free Monday classes offered by Jeff on the McBride Magic dot com website. For, a series of free classes are offered on a number of topics each Monday with additional classes available at a nominal cost. In some cases, there may be other magicians or mentors hosting a class but the information is always informative, unique and useful to those desiring to learn or even well seasoned magicians whom just want to learn new and different aspects of magic.

The Magic and Mystery school in Los Angeles, California also has a lot to offer in all things magic. Founded by Jeff McBride, the only school of its kind in the United States has trained some of the top names in the field of magic. While located in Los Angeles, the school offers classes, seminars and workshops for beginners to advanced magicians in the local area and Las Vegas on an ongoing basis.
