There Is An Interesting History Found When You Look Into The Classical Music Library Background

By Alvin F. Ojeda

The eleventh century appears to be the approximate time period when the classical music library actually began. It was not until the early nineteenth century that the actual terms classical music started to be used. Sometimes this class of music that has been produced in the traditions of Western liturgical and secular music is referred to as art music.

An instrument that is very different from those that are used today, which was called a forte piano was the type of instrument that some classical music library pieces were composed for in the past. The forte piano was the instrument for which the famous repertoire in classical music was written by talented artists including Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart as were the famous musical pieces of the Romantic movement by the renowned composers like Chopin, Liszt and Brahms who were famous during that period.

Classical Piano Song selections can contain choices from numerous composers along with different styles of music from the classical period. The gallant style was simple yet a more direct kind of music that was commonly used by the French and Italian composers from the early 1700s. The reason behind this style reflected those types of people who enjoyed music, but were not the aristocrats. Composers began to write music for the middle class of people that was less complicated and easier to understand. This trend also expanded to other art forms beside music.

The German composers developed what they referred to as the sentimental style. This type of music was composed to reflect feelings along with situations that were experienced in daily life. This style of classical piano song was very different from the baroque style that reflected works from notable composers such as Bach and Handel who created musical pieces that often experimented with form, style and instruments. It is interesting to learn that the baroque style, which is somewhat flamboyant comes from the word barocco which means bizarre in the Italian language. Another style named the sentimental style was established during the Classical period and contained clearer tonality and simpler harmony.

Another very different kind of classical music called the opera was developed to tell a story in an on-stage presentation through song, without using any spoken words, but rather the combination of song, music, costumes and scenery. Many of the famous opera songs can be located today as you look through various classical music playlist collections that can consist of many types and styles of classical selections for your pleasure.
