Motorola Razr Maxx review

By John Smith

You can find tech specs anywhere on the internet, for any phone, any time. It's a little harder to find review on the products quality and if it really lives up to those specs. I recently purchased the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx and it was worth every last penny. I previously owned a Droid X, and after the first couple of weeks, it slowed down significantly and the battery life was just horrible. I considered getting an iPhone, but I really like the simplicity of the Droid phones and the operating system in general. Besides, it totally beat out the iPhone 4 when they were released, and I expect the same with the release of the new Droid Razr HD and iPhone 5.

Recently I took a trip to California with my 2 year old, so before the flight I downloaded a 2 hour movie for my son to watch. After watching his movie my battery was still on 80 percent. If you are an owner of any smart phone then you know that this is very unusual as well as a relief.

Picture quality is top notch as well, which is quite important to me since I also have a new baby in the house. I can take tons of photos and videos and upload to Facebook in a couple seconds (much better than the full minute it would take on my Droid X).

Speaking of speed... I've had the phone for a few months now and haven't noticed the slightest bit of decline in speed, which is awesome. You often find that your phone slows down after a while... not this one!

All in all, I couldn't be happier with this phone. It's lightweight, thin and very good quality. I'm in the Army and work on helicopters for a living, so pretty much anything in my pockets gets smashed and jostled around all day. I LOVE the gorilla glass front and Kevlar back. I personally have an Otter Box case on it, which makes it quite a bit larger, but it's truly indestructible with this case on it.

My wife can't wait to get a new phone, she is trying to stick it out for the Razr HD
