Simple Etiquette When Watching Free Movies

By Dominique Martin

There are lots of fun things to do nowadays. You can go to amusement parks or you can pig out at eat-all-you-can restaurants. However, the fun activity that most people will usually die for is going to free movies. Not only do they get to watch their favorite shows, they can do it without having to pay a fee.

It should be a fun activity for you. However, you should remember a few etiquette when it comes to this activity so that you can have a memorable viewing experience. These are etiquette that will also prevent you from annoying the other moviegoers. Here are those simple etiquette to remember when going to the nearby theater.

First, you have to keep your cellphone in silent mode. In fact, it is better if you just turn it off for the entire show time if the film or leave it at the comfort of your own home. If you do that, then you do not have to annoy your seatmates when you have to take a call in the middle of a very moving climax scene.

Watch where you rest your feet. It is actually acceptable for you to rest your knees or feet on the armrest or chair right in front of you. No matter how much the ushers do not like it, you have to keep yourself feeling comfortable the entire time. However, make sure that the seat is empty first before doing anything.

No taking pictures. It is an illegal act and you may get fined for it. There is actually nothing more annoying for the people in the dark room off of the theater than a phone or a camera flashing intermittently. Not only can that be distracting, you will also be annoying them.

Talking is basically not forbidden but it is better if you do so in a whisper. If you need to talk to the person who is sitting beside you, you have to do it in a low voice. No need to use a loud voice or even your conversational voice because these can be really annoying to the people around you.

Making out is a big no no too. Do not let your passion run over you while in the dark, cold setting of the theater. Do not do it when there are kids around, when there is no one else in the theater, or even when there are lots of people. No one wants to see you making out with your partner, after all.

Pee breaks are something to watch out for. While it is true that everyone has to go to a bathroom to pee at some point in time, it is not forgivable to always get up every thirty minutes just to go to the bathroom. That will just disturb the other people who are actually intending to seriously watch the show.

Snacking is okay just as long as you do it nicely. There is no need for you to chew on your crunchy food so noisily. You should also refrain from making the cellophane of the food you are trying to open make noisy sounds. You have to eat noiselessly and neatly.
