Guidelines For Your Firm To Send Out Holiday Ecards

By Brenda Wright

Constantly keeping in touch with major stakeholders in your organization is important. This is because it shows your customers and your suppliers and investors that you care about them. This will work in your favor, as they will have positive vibes towards you. It will also prevent them from forgetting about your company. When you are sending out holiday ecards for your company, it is important that you do it the right way.

Decide who you want to email. It is best if you choose to email people that you have a personal relationship with or you are cordial towards. Avoid anyone that you do not interact well with. Separate your contacts into various lists, based on the purpose they serve in your organization. For instance, don't send similar cards to your customers and suppliers. This is because these are different segments of people and you relate with them differently.

Customize the cards before you send them. Most people respond better to personalized messages rather than generalized ones. Be sure to include their name. You can even craft a special message for each person in your list; this shows that you took the time and effort to think about them.

Send the cards on time. Not too early and not too late. Generally, aim to send it a couple of days to the special occasion. If you send it after the occasion then it will have lost its significance. Also, if you send it on the day of the occasion, chances are that the recipient might not see it since they might not check their messages on that day.

When you are sending the cards, just send good wishes. Avoid including any kind of marketing material on the card, as this will negate the good that you will have done. Don't include promotions or coupon codes or anything to push the customer to buy whatever you are selling. Just focus on the key message, which is sending them good wishes during the special occasion.

Don't go overboard and make things complicated. Simple messages work just as well. Also, as much as you can hire a designer to create a card, you can also come up with a simple one on your own. Use the right elements, words and colors and you will get the attention of your recipients.

Keep things general in the card. This is because people come from different denominations and religious backgrounds. Sending religious messages won't make sense to someone who does not adhere to your denomination. Some people might even be offended by your message since it shows that you do not care about their beliefs.

Sending out these cards is a good way to strengthen the relationship that you have with stakeholders in your organization. Keep sending out cards on a regular basis. Even if most of the people do not respond, they still take note of your cards, so you should not be discouraged. Given the cost of acquiring a new customer, it is better that you do all you can to maintain them once you acquire them.
