The television you had is experiencing some issues. Maybe it shows nothing but a black screen. You might be considering a TV main board replacement. You know that buying a new mainboard would cost much. You begin to wonder if you could only change the destroyed component to save some dollars. Before you begin with any of these steps you should have the necessary tools to remove the board from the TV. You most likely need some screwdrivers for this job. Additional tools can be added depending on the TV model.

And since you we will be replacing the main board, we are required to have the substitute part. There are a lot of quality shops out there that sells replacement parts. Just make sure that the replacement part is the same model as the damaged part. This will prevent compatibility issues that might hinder you from totally repairing your TV.

You also need to have the required tools to be able to remove the old EEPROM chip and replace it with the new one. You might need a soldering iron to do this. Installing the new chip should not be difficult if you have the tools for the job.

Let us now remove the central panel. To do this we need to remove the screws that hold it in place. Some models also have connectors that you should also need to be removed. Make sure to place the screws in one location to make it handy in the later part of the process. Gently lift the panel from the central chassis. Make sure no wires are destroyed in the process to avoid unnecessary damages to the chassis.

After that, we can now place the replacement part on the chassis. Carefully position the panel on the chassis making sure that the positioning is correct. Put the screws and the connectors on their respective places.
