A Beginner Guide To Building A Gamer PC

By Shirley Campbell

PC gaming is a pretty big thing these days which is why gaming computers are all the rage among video gamers who do not want to buy consoles. Of course, if one wants to be able to play games in a computer, then he or she must have a gamer pc. In order to create a good gaming pc, then he or she must know the specs of a good computer so that he or she may customize it and make it work well.

The first thing that one has to take into consideration would be the CPU. At the very least, one must have a two core processor to take most basic games. However, one will definitely have to check the processor requirements of each individual game to see if that particular game would need a higher core processor.

The next thing that one would need to take note of would be the definition of the game and how the processor affects it. For those who want a full HD game, the minimum specs would be a 2.5Ghz processor which is represented by the letter i and the processor number. The most powerful is an i7 processor but at the very least, an i5 processor is needed for most games in the market.

After the processor has been handled, the next thing to think of would be the graphic cards. In order to have a good gaming quality, the motherboard has to be able to run dual graphic cards which means that there must be a dual slot to be able to take these cards. Also, the motherboard must have the right slots for either the NVIDIA cards or the AMD Crossfire cards as these are the recommended graphic cards.

Now, the graphic cards will be the the main factors for the display settings. Now, a good pair of graphic cards would have a memory range of about 2GB to 4Gb depending on the game. This would be able to take games that run from 30 frames per second to up to 90 frames per second in order to avoid lag.

Next on the list is the RAM, which has to be compatible with the motherboard. The best motherboards for games would have a RAM of either DDR3 or DDR4. As for the amount of memory, either 16GB or 32GB will do but this will depend on the size of the game which is why 32GB is the most recommended.

Lastly, one has to consider the hard drive storage. HDD storage is probably the most common and must have a 7200RPM with a cache memory of at least 16MB in it. As for the storage memory, it is wise to have at least 250GB but if one can get a memory of up to 500GB, then all the better.

These are some of the basic things to think of when building a gaming computer. Other things to take note of would be the resolution from the monitor, the power supply, the mouse, the keyboard, and the cooling fans. However, those things can come later after the basic stuff have been taken care of.
