If something is in fairly good condition or needs a minor repair, it may have the potential to come back as something fabulous.

These days, recycled clothes do not have to look like something that came out of a trash bin or made by someone who hates to sew. There are even ways to create new clothing, toys, or decorative items that look as if they belong in a fancy store. Most of these can be found at craft retailers for a fair price and are a nice alternative to being on a computer or device for hours. Many projects may be completed in minimal time with materials that can be found around the house or public recycling bin.

For those who may find themselves in a crafting rut, an idea would be to create beads with special paint, like marble or other textural effects. These are often found at home and art supply retailers as kits but the easiest application is available in an aerosol can. However, these products are the safest to use in a space that has ample ventilation.

Clothing is another area where upcyclers can show off their true talents, as the finished product can be used to decorate vests, jackets, or even denim. This is where some like to up the coolness factor by adding other touches like glitter, neon acrylic paints, or high gloss finishes. Once again, many of these extras cost little money if purchased at a discount retailer.

Although there are many bead rollers on the market, it is best to start small and upgrade when the time is right.
