By Janine Hughes

There is always someone we know of capable of giving a really good performance and they may or may not professional actors. Theatre classes Phoenix are meant for such people, whether experienced or not. The theatre class aims to bring out the artistic side of every person. Just like musicians must sing every day and poets write every day, so do the actors.

Theatre did not begin with Shakespeare; it was around for a much longer period of time. Since time immemorial, musicals and plays have been a source of entertainment to humanity. However, motion pictures threaten this coexistence; hence individuals interested in theatre must be at their best. It is at this stage, that a school for theatrical studies becomes indispensable for them.

An individual must know more about the school, instructors, current and past students before enrolling There are lessons for all ages, for adults and lastly for kids and teens. The lessons for adults are divided into three stages-introductory, intermediate and advanced level. The introductory level is for beginners, the intermediate level is for developing actors whereas the advanced level is for students who are already actors.

For starters, there are many different styles of acting or performance. Even the class for each differs from the other in content, metrics and tone. Therefore, before becoming a student, a prospective actor has to choose the type of lessons to attend. An individual may have to take different acting lessons during the acting career to fit in the general direction as well as their career needs. Each acting lesson such as scene study, camera, voice or movement aims to develop only one of acting aspect.

Theatre curriculum starts with a basic introduction to the stage, scene study and vocals. Students may then learn theoretical and practical aspects to give a better base for the performing or acting career. The lessons then advance to acting on camera, playwriting and the tricks to proper auditioning. In some cases, mentorship with past successful students is available.

It is not always easy to decide to get to theatre as many people are either shy or afraid of what people think of them. This is why confidence on stage and in life generally is one of the other skills that students learn in a theatrical class. Prospective actors should be confident and not let fear deter them from pursuing what they are really into.

Training alone is not a solution for anyone who is serious about this career path. Often, it is the group of actors that make you better as you rehearse. Through others, you are able to mirror yourself in them and gauge your skills. Team effort is good for everyone to advance their skills.

Acting does not have to be career oriented; it could also be for fun, like a special interest or hobby. Therefore, anyone is capable of acting; really, you have to try to know. It is more of an art and therefore everyone doing it will find joy, fun and fulfillment without requiring any special skills. Just be curious, flexible and willing to try new things, you never know what you will find.
